  • Activity purpose
    The road race is booming in Taiwan, and the marathon race is also one of the popular sports. Through the combination of marathon and sightseeing, by participating in or watching sports and by combining the tourist attractions with the promotion of tourism in 6 local major themes including “tea, coffee, aboriginals, ecology, railway and romance”, and aiming at obtaining the international marathon certification of IAAF, this activity is expected to drive the international tourism trend of Alishan and promote the local economic development, so as to make the tourism of Alishan prosperous, to enable more people to see the good scenery in Alishan, and to show the beauty and passion of Alishan to the world.

  • Article deposit
    1. The time for depositing belongings begins at 5:00 a.m. on the race day and for getting back is before the end of the activity.
    2. Runners must store their belongings in bags and attach the deposit number receipt (the deposit number receipt is on the bib number), and get back the belongings with the bib number after the race.
    3. Please take care of your own valuables. The conference is not responsible for loss of personal belongings.
    4. There is no cloakroom service provided for the parent-child group (3K), the shortest sport of this event
  • Invitation of Elite Athletes
    1. Those who have participated in the full marathon (42.195k) men's group and achieve results within 3:00 and women's group within 3:30 in the past 3 years (2016-2019) will be exempted from the application fee of this full marathon group. 30 athletes will be invited for men's group and 20 for women's group
    2. In order to ensure the performance of elite athletes, the first row will be reserved as the special area for elite athletes at the start of the race. There will also be an exclusive rest area beside the venue for elite athletes.
  • Measures for registration of elite athletes
    1. Registration method: after completing the online registration (without payment), before 17:00 on January 31, 2020, please mail the certificate of achievement to : lohasnet.tw@gmail.com and the staff will reply to the elite athlete for registration confirmation.
    2. Review method: the achievements of full marathon scores will be reviewed by crosschecking the information in the event score system or related websites provided by the elite athletes themselves to compare the relevant identity information and scores of the elite athletes, and then make an announcement on the activity web page. The athletes could visit the application platform to query the relevant information. If admission is rejected, no notice will be given.
  • Notes
    1. In order to protect the earth and respond to the environmental protection, please try to prepare your own drinking cup. Please do not litter the paper cup along the way, which may cause danger to the athletes behind. Please throw it into the trash cans prepared by the organizer.
    2. The event's supply area includes a water supply area with supplies provided by the organizer, located behind the first table.
    3. Elite marathon athletes who have prepared their own drinks should hand them over to the referees’ tent area by 5:00 a.m. on April 12, 2020, and clearly mark the number cloth on the bottles and which station they need to be sent to. There will be special personnel to send them out. Also, to protect yourself, please don't take the food or drinks provided by the unfamiliar people on the road.
    4. As the track will pass through the Provincial Highway 18, which may be under road control sometimes, if any athletes fail to pass the starting point within the specified starting time (Full marathon 6:00~6:10), Half marathon (6:20~6:30), 10K and 3K (6:40~6:50), they cannot depart at the starting time. Due to safety factors, the event organizer has the right to limit their departure and not calculate the results.

  • Eligibility
    Anyone who is physically and mentally healthy and interested in road running and comply with the organizer’s rules may apply.
  • Group reception
    If the number of applicants reaches 30, one rest area will be arranged on the day of the event, two rest areas will be arranged for 60 applicants, and so on
  • Activity grouping
    1. Full marathon group (42.195K), Half marathon group (21.0975K): participants are divided into 10 groups by gender and age (as shown in the table below).

  2. The organizer will deliver all the material packages 1 to 2 weeks before the activity. Please be sure to fill in the correct mailing address (post office box is not accepted). If any package fails to be delivered due to incomplete address or no recipient, no materials will be reissued.
  3. Anyone who receives the participating articles is deemed to complete registration. Please assemble at the conference place on the day of the activity, and on-site registration is not allowed on the day of the activity to receive the participating articles. Please take care of the chip, bib number and other materials. In case of any missing, please reply at least 3 days before the activity, otherwise, it is deemed as lost.
  4. Reissuing: anyone whose chip or bib number is to be reissued due to missing or failing to carry can apply for a new chip or bib number (limited in number) at the reception desk of the conference before the activity starts. In application, please show the ID card of the applicant, pay NT $100 as the service charge and pay the deposit of NT $100 (refundable after the activity) additionally for a new chip. Due to the inconvenient on-site operations on the day of the activity, please give the mailing address and the recipient’s name and telephone number for sending the service charge receipt in the future.
  5. Foreign participants: on-site registration (no mailing to avoid delay). The reception desk at the conference place accepts registration before running on the day of the activity (the handling fee is calculated according to the charge schedule in the first paragraph).
  1. Within 7 days from the next day of the payment deadline, 80% of the application fee will be refunded to anyone whose application fee is less than NT$500, and the balance will be refunded to anyone whose application fee is more than NT$500 (included) after the information processing fee of NT$ 100 is charged.
  2. The balance will be refunded to anyone who applies for refund for reasonable causes before the application deadline, after the information processing fee of NT$ 100 is charged.
  3. Materials are made on the application deadline, 60% of the application fee will be refunded within 20 days from the next day of the application deadline.
  4. Materials will be sent after 20 days upon the application deadline, 50% of the application fee will be refunded to anyone who meets the following conditions, otherwise, no refund.
    • Natural or man-made disasters.
    • Transport disruptions.
    • Military service or attendance, education calls.
    • Injuries or pregnancy.
    • The funeral of spouse or the participant’s first-degree relative.
    • Other matters stipulated by the organizer.
    For anyone who meets the above conditions, please write or call to inform, and attach certificates.
  5. The above measures are stipulated according to the「Attentions for Safety Maintenance and Right Protection of Participants in Road Race」issued by the Sports Administration on June 24, 2019.。
  6. The information processing fee collected by our company excludes the inter-bank commission.
  7. The difference caused by downgrading will not be refunded.
  8. Once the cancellation is confirmed, one will lose the right to participate in the activity and the ownership of materials, and cannot re-apply.

Activity Routes


As the track will pass through the Provincial Highway 18, which may be under road control sometimes, if any athletes fail to pass the starting point within the specified starting time (Full marathon 6:00~6:10), Half marathon (6:20~6:30), 10K and 3K (6:40~6:50), they cannot depart at the starting time. Due to safety factors, the event organizer has the right to limit their departure and not calculate the results.

  3. To apply for international event certification of this track, the activity routes are measured according to international standards.
  4. Full marathon 4K-10K is a climbing route. After 10K, it is gentle downhill. Please read the altimeter carefully for speed matching.
  5. Half marathon 4K-6K is a climbing route. After 6K, it is gentle downhill. Please read the altimeter carefully.

  • Full marathon group (42.195K), half marathon group (21.0975K):For the Women's group, age group and all groups with less than 50 applicants, 1 out of 3 applicants and 3 out of 10 applicants will be admitted.
  • Challenge group (5K) and parent-child group (3K):Granted without age grouping.
  • Group ranking is not possible when amount of attendees less than three.
  • Anyone who has been admitted in the overall ranking will not be included in the group ranking.
  • When accepting awards, any winner who is a citizen of the Republic of China shall have a copy of the national identity card and any foreign runner shall have a passport or residence permit and other certificates, so as to facilitate the smooth prize payment. Any Taiwanese runner whose prize exceeds NT. 20,000 shall pay a 10% rate of income tax in accordance with the tax law, and foreign runners, regardless of the amount of prizes, must pay 20% rate of income tax in accordance with the tax law.
  • All prizes and awards provided by the conference must be claimed by the winners themselves and shall not be claimed by other on behalf. Any winner who fails to receive the award on stage or receive the trophy on site is deemed as a waiver with the award and trophy not being sent separately, and shall not raise any objection.

Activity Specifications


Chip timing system will be used in this activity. Please read the following attentions for wearing the chips, and we wish all the best luck for the runners.

  1. Please tie the chips to the upper with shoelaces or provided straps, and do not use metal objects (such as iron wire, pin and metal strap)for fixing.When being worn, the chip surface shall face up and keep horizontal with the ground. Please refer to the picture below for the way to wear chips.
  2. Please inquire the chip timing group for further information in case of any problem in wearing. If the chips are not worn as described above, the results may not be recorded properly due to the effects on the chip induction.
  3. Anyone who wears two or more chips, exchanges chips and fails to wear the chip as stipulated will be disqualified, and will not be timed and granted result certificate.

  1. In order to maintain the activity quality and protect the runners’ rights and interests, anyone who changes group or name after the application deadline is disqualified for the award.
  2. Please gather at the assigned place before the starting pistol on the day of the activity. The race shall be recorded by chip induction pad other than manual marking. For anyone who starts early, the result is invalid.
  3. According to Article 165.24 of the international athletic competition rules, the runners start at the firing time, and the conference calculates the time from the firing time and judges the runners’ places and results according to the time records. The runners must pass over the chip induction pad, and any runner who has no induction time records at the starting line, finishing line or race course will be disqualified and issued no result certificate.
  4. The starting line is on an open road and runners must start on time. Early start or failure to pass over the induction pad leads to invalid results, and the conference has the right to stop the latecomers for safety reasons and not to record the results.
  5. Anyone who has no bib number on the day of the activity will be automatically disqualified and are not allowed to enter the activity routes, and the judges have the right to stop the runners without bib numbers to participate into the activity.
  6. Anyone who is not examined by the chip induction at checkpoints or keeps no token is judged to be disqualified, and shall not raise any objection.
  7. Anyone who abandons the race or changes group is judged to be disqualified, and shall not raise any objection.
  8. In case of failure to wear the bib number on the chest or to wear the token on the wrist results in failure of personal identification, the placing judges will stop the runners at 30M before the finishing line.
  9. There is a closing time for all the supply depots of this race, anyone who fails to arrive at a supply depot at the last minute as stipulated shall follow the judges’ instructions to take a touring bus to return to the finishing line. When one gets on the bus, the staff will take off the chip and refund the deposit of NT$100.
  1. Result certificate: issued immediately after the race, please be sure to pick it up on site. In case of the accidents, such as heavy rain, strong wind, power failure, system crash and Internet disconnection, the certificate shall be downloaded from Lohas application website and printed one week after the activity.
  2. The runners’ results will be posted on Lohas application website within one week after the race.
  3. Anyone who fails to receive the certificate on site may check the result and download the electronic certificate from the result bulletin webpage, and may also apply for sending a paper certificate by paying a fee on the website.

Anyone who violates the following regulations will have the result cancelled and be refused to participate in the activities related to the conference in the future.

  1. Anyone who exchanges chips, wears other’s bib number or chip, wears two chips, or violates the activity rules will be disqualified, with the result not to be calculated.
  2. Anyone who violates the judges.
  3. Anyone who uses vehicles (including bicycle) or is accompanied by others (such as taking a car, offering support) during the activity.
  4. Anyone who violates sportsmanship and morality, such as (fighting with and insulting judges or the conference’s staff, misconducts or spreading rumors or false reports, anyone whose behaviors affecting the reputation of the conference).
  5. Those who submit no applications are not allowed to participate in the activity instead of applicants, or private resale is prohibited. Once the substitutes and the substituted runners are verified, their names will be posted on the Internet after the results are declared invalid by judges (reports are welcomed).
  1. Activity disputes: Runners are not allowed to question the judges on the spot. In case of any explanation having the same meaning as the rules of track and field, the judges shall prevail and no appeal is allowed.
  2. Objection to results: Any runner who has any objection to the result shall apply to the timing group of the organizer for verification and correction, and the head judge’s decision shall be final.
  3. Appeal procedures: Any dispute arising from the activity shall be submitted to the conference within 30 minutes after the results of its group are announced and a deposit of NT$3,000 shall be paid. Please keep the receipt issued by the activity group properly. The judicial committee’s decision on the appeal shall be final. If any appeal is decided unreasonable by the judicial committee, the deposit shall be forfeited.
  • Emergency medical planning: Safety maintenance and emergency response plan are the most important in an activity, and a perfect safety plan can solve problems quickly and minimize damages.
    1. All runners shall be covered by [public accident insurance].
    2. Professional medical institutions are on site.
    3. An emergency medical care network shall be established to achieve the fastest emergency rescue by cooperating with the local medical institutions.
    4. The major medical groups will protect the personal safety of all participants on the routes and in the main conference place under the assistance of professional medical teams.
  • Preparation program for rains
    1. In case of typhoons or natural disasters, postponement or suspension information will be posted on the official website of the activity.
    2. If the weather forecast indicates a week before the activity that there may be a high probability of rain on the day of the activity, the tents will be increased as appropriate.
  1. Anyone who submits no application is not allowed to enter the race course during the activity to affect the runners’ rights and interests.
  2. For the routes are open roads and large and small vehicles still run normally, please take care of your safety. At important intersections, direction signs are equipped or volunteers will help to guide. It is necessary not to interfere with the normal life of residents in the activity. Please wait in case of traffic control at intersections, please do not yell at the staff or force your way. Anyone who disagrees with this is not allowed to participate in this activity.
  3. To participate in the activity, please measure your abilities. In addition to displaying your spirit to overcome difficulties and break through your limit to achieve your goals, please get enough sleep the day before the activity and supplement your diet 2 hours before the activity. Do not start on an empty stomach to avoid exhaustion. In severe cases, the dangers such as instant fainting may caused by hypoglycemia.
  4. The judges or doctors (medical workers) have the right to stop the runners according to their physical conditions, and the runners shall not raise any objection.
  5. The participants must consider their health conditions, because of safety first. In case of physical discomfort, please stop immediately and request assistance from the volunteers nearby.
  6. Please take care of your health. Anyone who has heart disease, vascular disease, diabetes and other diseases shall not participate in the activity.
  7. The participants voluntarily participate in the activity and are willing to take responsibilities for the accident risks during the period. Any casualties or other losses in any form during the period shall be processed according to the public accident insurance covered by this activity. All details are subject to the insurance contract of the insurance company and unrelated to the organizer.
  8. Please bring the identification and health insurance card.
  1. The activity will be held as usual on rainy days. In case of sea and land typhoon warnings or irresistible natural disasters, considering the safety of the runners and participants, the conference has the right to cancel and postpone the activity or adjust the activity routes.
  2. The participants must agree that the conference has the right to announce the activity videos, photos (portraits) and results (information such as applicants’ names, names of applicants’ units) to the public, or broadcast, exhibit, publish the information on websites and publications all over the world, or use the information for propaganda in related activities.
  3. The runners shall not stay on the race course after passing the finishing line to avoid affecting the safety of others. Anyone who wants to take a photo shall go to the side after passing the finishing line.
  4. The participants and runners who have registered in the application system and paid the fees are deemed to agree to the activity rules.
  5. The specifications and information of this activity will be successively posted on Lohas application website. All pending issues will be supplemented and revised by the conference from time to time without prior notice.
  1. Please fill in the application form completely. The participants shall be responsible for the loss of insurance effectiveness arising from errors or omissions.
  2. The conference will cover the public accident insurance for all runners and staff, and all details are subject to the insurance contract of the insurance company.
  3. The runners must consider their health conditions on the day of the activity and act according to their capabilities. Please get enough sleep the day before the activity and supplement the diet 2 hours before the activity. Necessary emergency medical services are equipped on site. Public accident insurance only covers the injuries caused by accidents but not the symptoms caused by the runners’ diseases.
    Instructions on public accident insurance for less than 1,000 persons:
    • Compensation for injuries of each person NTD: 6 million.
    • Compensation for injuries in each accident NTD: 30 million.
    • Compensation for property damages in each accident NTD: 2 million
    • The maximum compensation during insurance NTD: 64 million.

    • Compensation for injuries of each person NTD: 6 million.
    • Compensation for injuries in each accident NTD: 60 million.
    • Compensation for property damages in each accident NTD: 2 million.
    • The maximum compensation during insurance NTD: 124 million.
    Instructions on public accident insurance for 3,001-10,000 persons:
    • Compensation for injuries of each person NTD: 6 million.
    • Compensation for injuries in each accident NTD: 120 million
    • Compensation for property damages in each accident NTD: 2 million.
    • The maximum compensation during insurance NTD: 244 million.
    Instructions on public accident insurance for more than 10,001 persons:
    • Compensation for injuries of each person NTD: 6 million.
    • Compensation for injuries in each accident NTD: 180 million.
    • Compensation for property damages in each accident NTD: 2 million.
    • The maximum compensation during insurance NTD: 364 million.。
  4. Coverage of public accident insurance: The insured shall indemnify according to law for injuries, death or property damages of the third person caused by the following accidents during insurance. In case of the claim for compensation, the company shall indemnify the insured.
    • Accidents occurred to the insured or their employees on the routes specified in the policies due to the activity.
    • Accidents occurred to the insured in buildings, accesses, machines or other objects on the routes of the activity.
    Special exclusions:
    • Sports injuries caused by human diseases.
    • Symptoms caused by personal physical conditions or cardiovascular diseases, such as shock, heart disease, diabetes, heat exhaustion, heatstroke, mountain sickness, epilepsy and dehydration. Public accident insurance only covers the compensations to the injuries caused by accidents but not the symptoms caused by the runners’ diseases.
    • In case of any medical history as described in Item 2, the runners are suggested to carefully consider their own safety and purchase personal accident insurance.
    • In case of any of the following diseases or health conditions, one is at a high risk of sudden death. Please consult doctors for professional judgment and do not force your way.
      • Unexplained chest discomfort (chest distress, chest pain)
      • Unexplained difficult breathing
      • Unexplained dizziness
      • Sudden loss of consciousness
      • High blood pressure (>140/90 mm Hg)
      • Heart disease
      • Abnormal renal function
      • Diabetes
      • Hyperlipidemia (total cholesterol -> 240mg/D1)
      • Family history of heart disease (any first-degree relative has heart diseases or was suddenly dead before 60)
      • Epilepsy
  1. The serial number of the deposit sticker is unrelated to grouping, you can choose any one.
  2. The abandoning channel is for those who abandon the race. Anyone who fails to finish the race shall use this channel at the finishing line.
Pending issues in the activity rules may be revised and announced by the conference from time to time.
